An Explanation of My Pricing Policy

There are many excellent photographers to choose from in the Richmond area, and they all offer different services in their varied pricing options — including services like styling, hair and makeup, custom locations, or extensive props. These often come with certain requirements — package minimums, print purchases, or limitations on the number of images.

While these extra services can be a wonderful addition to your photography session, they can also increase the cost and post-session requirements.

On the other hand, there are some established studios or photo-service businesses who offer lower prices, but often at the cost of image quality or personalization — the time, location, and image options are typically limited and pre-defined.

In contrast to both, I aim to deliver quality images at competitive prices through a straightforward process while still ensuring our time together is tailored to your goals.

What You Can Expect

Working with me is fairly straightforward:

• We will discuss your goals for our session, including time, location, purpose for the images, and other details.
• For portrait sessions, I will offer some suggestions and resources to help you with any styling, props, or other preparations that are important to you for the images. For weddings and events, we will discuss any other vendors and arrangements with whom I may need to coordinate.
• We meet and capture some memories together!
• After the shoot or event, I will send you a gallery of the images. You can download web-sized images for sharing, full-sized images for printing, or use my built-in print service to order prints, books, and other products directly.

I don’t have a pre-defined number of images based on pricing. After the shoot, I review the images, find all of the best shots (eliminating near-duplicates, closed eyes, and the like), edit those images, and deliver all of them to you.

The images are delivered in a gallery that you can share and that allows you to order high-quality prints and other products. However, I also provide a print release if you’d prefer to download the images and find your own printing, so there are no additional post-session requirements or costs.
