Why I Love Photography
Capture Moments, Preserve Memories
I’ve had a passion for photography since I was a teenager, ruining many rolls of film. Over time, I mastered the technical side of photography, but shot mostly for my own enjoyment.
Then, not too long ago, I lost my mother to Alzheimer’s, and during that process, I really came to understand the value of memories and the role that photographs play in helping to hold on to those memories. Now, I love to use my camera to help others capture their important moments and preserve their best memories.
A Little About Me
Educator and Photographer
I’ve worked in the field of public education for most of my career, and I currently assist teachers in the high-school classroom. I grew up near Richmond, moved to northern Virginia for a while, but have been back in the area since 2012. I now live in Mechanicsville with my wife and son, who sometimes join me for photo sessions. Together, we enjoy being outdoors, hiking, and exploring Richmond and the James.
