There a ton of resources on H. P. Lovecraft, and his popularity seems to be exploding lately. For now, here are some resources I put together in 2004:
- Lovecraft Rising: Tracing the Growth of Scholarship on Howard Phillips Lovecraft, 1990-2004 (download as PDF or view on Scribd) – A bibliographic essay that surveys the scholarship and reception of H. P. Lovecraft’s work during that period. I haven’t revised it since I initially created it in 2004.
- Bibliographic Resources - I also compiled a bibliography on Lovecraft scholarship during that period (1990-2004). The result is available below in multiple formats: RTF, EndNote, BibTex, Zotero
I also recommend CthuluChick’s The Complete Works of H. P. Lovecraft. She’s compiled all of Lovecraft’s original stories and made the resulting eBook available for free (but if you have a Kindle and would like to thank her for her efforts, you can pay $.99 for it at Amazon).
